Originally from Moscow, she relocated from New York with her husband, two children, and their dog, embracing the warmth, light, and coastal atmosphere of South Florida. Her personal journey across places and cultures continues to shape her artistic sensibility and the way she connects with the world around her.

Maria’s background bridges two distinct disciplines: pharmaceutical sciences, studied at the Moscow Medical Academy, and children’s book illustration. This blend of analytical training and creative storytelling informs her artistic voice, giving her work a unique balance of structure, intuition, and emotional depth.
